Motorcycle Riding and Sports Car Touring In The Smokies

The Great Smoky Mountain National Park area is surrounded by some of the world’s best riding. Highway 129’s Famous 11 mile ride with 318 curves known as the Dragon has become one of the most popular rides in the US. There are breath-taking views as you travel through the Valley of the Dragon from Maryville on 129 to Tab Cat Bridge where the Dragon begins Cherohala Skyway, Highway 441, over the Smokys to Cherokee N.C.

At night the Dragon comes down the mountain to the lands of Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Townsend, Wears Valley, Maryville and Tellico Plains. This area is known as the Valley of the Dragon. The Valley of the Dragon is a great place to hang out, eat, rest and find entertainment while waiting for the Dragon to wake up the next day.

Nitrogen in Motorcycle tires

Nitrogen in tires is becoming a popular replacement for standard air. Nitrogen is all around us... the air we breathe is 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen and the rest is small amounts of other gasses. When it comes to tire inflation, nitrogen has many advantages over regular air inflation. With nitrogen tire inflation, improvements can be noted in a vehicle's handling, fuel efficiency and tire life through better tire pressure retention, improved fuel economy and cooler running tire temperatures.
The biggest advantage due to small volume of air in motorcycle tires. Nitrogen particles are larger than oxygen preventing permeation.
