Horseback Riding in the Smokies
About 550 miles of the park's hiking trails are open to horses. Horseback riding in the Great Smoky Mountains can be a great time for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and enjoy the great woodlands of the area. There are four commercial stables located in the Smoky Mountain National Park. Rates average $20 per hour. Weight limits and age restrictions may apply. Please call the stable you are interested in for operating hours and hourly rates.

As well as stables their are five drive in horse camps. Located in
Cades Cove, Big Creek, Cataloohee, Round Bottom and Towstrings. These
camps are limited to 4 horses and 6 people. These camps are open April 1st
to November 11. call 1-877-444-6777 from 10 am till 10 pm for reservations.
