The Tail Of The Dragon
The Great Smoky Mountain National Park area is surrounded by some of the world’s best riding. Highway 129’s Famous 11 mile ride with 318 curves known as the "dragon" has become one of the US most popular rides. There are breath taking views as you travel through the Valley of the Dragon from Maryville Tennessee on 129 to Tab Cat Bridge where the dragon begins.
At night the dragon comes down the mountain to the lands of Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Townsend, Wears Valley, Maryville and Tellico Plains. This area is known as the Valley of the Dragon. The Valley of the Dragon is a great place to hang out, lodge, dine, and find entertainment while waiting for the Dragon to wake the next day.
